About Us

KC Vaghela is a designer fashion label comprising fun and functional garments started by Kaajal Vaghela in 2009. Her love for fashion started at a young age growing up within her father’s clothing factory. Having always been exposed to fabrics and garment manufacture, it was inevitable she would stay within this industry.

Having read Fashion Merchandise Management at University of Westminster followed by Master tailoring classes at London College of Fashion, she took this knowledge back to Zambia, and fused this creative flair with her father’s existing business structure to produce smart, stylish and beautifully tailored jackets and waistcoats.

In 2012, she trained on Tajima embroidery machinery and developed a new branding department at her father's factory. Her expertise in machine embroidery allowed her to broaden her range of clothing to include customised streetwear designs worn broadly by local and international DJs and musicians. This, in conjunction with her love of African print opened up a world of designer athleisure.

Taking all this heritage, our designer infused it into a wider scope of athleisure comprising yoga leggings, hoodies, joggers and the like, in vibrant prints and colours. The new collection is comfortable and practical, as well as fun and empowering. KCVaghela has partnered with *** - meaning every sale you make on this website goes to supporting a woman entrepreneur in Zambia, providing her with the business skills and knowledge in order to build her business and support her family.

Working as an entreprenur in a male dominated society highlighted to Kaajal the struggles that women go through, and so supporting women in business in anyway she can has been her deepest passion.

Launching KCVaghela Brand has been Kaajal’s most daring step in life and she continues to grow the brand internationally while keeping her roots close.

She always says, "If you love something, you integrate it into your life and you start living it. And once you start living it, you become it".

This is her life motto and business strapline
