AFCON 2015

The 'Coupe d'Afrique' as it is officially knows, has commenced, as of the weekend that has just passed.

It has been a bit tumultuous, with health care and politics and anxiety amongst the crowds took precedence. Morocco was the playing field until the deadly Ebola outbreak took place, and the games had to be moved to Equatorial Guinea.

For me, I am biased towards Zambia because it is one of my homes.  As much as I'd like to say the Cape Verde players are pretty steamy, I cannot base my football expectations on looks versus skill.  We have a strong team in place, with Emmanuel Mayuka, (Southampton FC), Stoppila Sunzu (Sochaux) and Chisamba Lungu (Ural FC) to name just a few.

The 2012 AFCON games were co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.  It was the final of that year that sent Zambia to the top and gave it it's deserved win.  They dedicated this win to the team that died in a plane crash that took place near the final's venue in Libreville, Gabon.  Therefore Equatorial Guinea is an ominous, yet hopeful place for Zambia.  We wish the team the very best of luck, and sending only positive vibes their way!

We have created AFCON polo shirts to cover the games – whether you support Zambia or not; whether you are watching this year's match or not, these are memorabilia pieces to keep.  They come in Black and White colours, and are available at The Mosi Kiosk at Manda Hill Mall (beer and football, what more can a football fan ask for?!)

Tuneage Tuesdays USHER I Don’t Mind

So, this week's Tune-age is Usher's I Don't Mind.

My goodness, the old skool style Usher is back!  I love this tune because it is smooth yet catchy, with a bit of tongue and cheek!

Juicy J laces the melody with his jumpy rap that gives this song such a fun dimension.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing the video.  I wonder if Usher will do his signature move and remove his shirt to showcase his washboard abs? ;)

Love,

KC

Tuneage Tuesdays: Fashion Killa

I heard this song ages ago but I still love it!  And to be it epitomises the strong bond between fashion and music.  It's got a '90s vibe to it, both in the melody and the clothes styling of Rihanna and ASAP Rocky.

Are you a Fashion Killa? :)

Enjoy!
